Hi, I'm Arav!
I made Cell City. I'm 10 years old, and I built this website so that kids as young as 8 can learn about cells, the tiny living pieces that make up every person, animal, and plant.
Why I made it
My dad inspired me. He has a company that helps scientists with their work. Seeing how he helps scientists made me want to help science too, in my own way.
So here's my idea: my dad helps today's scientists, and Cell City helps tomorrow's scientists. That might be you!
Why cells?
Everything alive is made of cells. Your body has trillions of them, and they all have jobs, like carrying air, fighting germs, or sending messages to your brain. I think that's amazing, and I wanted to make it easy and fun to learn.
How I built it
I came up with the ideas, decided what the site should have, and tested everything. I used an AI helper to write the code and the lessons, and I kept asking for changes until it felt right for kids. Now there are 334 cells to explore, with lessons, quizzes, 3D models, badges, games, and a microscope.
What I hope you do
- Pick any cell and learn something new.
- Try to earn all the badges.
- Look through the microscope and play the games.
- Keep asking questions. That's what scientists do!
